Queer Pride and Urban Sports

This year we will be back on Tuesday 23 July with those urban sports at the Buikslotermeerplein in Noord.

This year we show that inclusion is also a theme in urban sports. For Pathé Amsterdam Noord we show showcases of various urban sports.The queer urban community hosts skateboarding, roller skating, freerun, BMX, 3×3 basketball, calisthenics and bouldering.But you can also come and dance and enjoy the DJ on the grass.

In the early afternoon there are workshops for different ages, from children to adults. After that there are safe(r) space jams for skate, freerun and roller skate.We invite all 'allies' in the urban community for these jams.In this way we make a joint statement that the street belongs to everyone and embraces the urban lifestyle including sports.

We will use the existing skate park, pump track and the 3×3 basketball court.In addition, we will place a boulder wall, freerun object and calisthenics object on the spot where a new freerun park will be built later this year.

At 15:00 we start with a clinic for children:
from 8-10 years, at 16:00
from 10-12, 17:00
from 12+ jam.

The workshops are hosted by the queer community but everyone is welcome, as long as we can have understanding for each other. You can find us on the entire terrain between the cinema and the skate park.

New this year are e-sports in the Pathé, a film program in the cinema and 3x3 Basketball. The collaboration with the district is also being intensified this year with, among other things, more connections with sports clubs in Noord and the shopping center.

Queer Skate at Urban Hangout
