Award ceremony Annie Brouwer-Korf Award 2023

On Wednesday, October 11th, the Annie Brouwer-Korf Award 2023 will be presented. During a festive evening in Het Huis Utrecht, the announcement of the winner will be eagerly anticipated. More information about the award ceremony will follow as soon as possible.

About the prize Since 2007, the Annie Brouwer-Korf prize has been awarded annually to persons, organisations, initiatives or projects that make a special contribution to the acceptance and visibility of the Utrecht LGBTQIA+ community.

ANNIE BROUWER-KORF AWARD

Since 2007, the Annie Brouwer-Korf Award has been presented annually to individuals, organizations, initiatives, or projects that make exceptional efforts to promote acceptance and visibility of the Utrecht LGBTQIA+ community. 

Annie Brouwer-Korf (1946-2017) was the mayor of Utrecht from 1999 to 2008. During this period, she particularly devoted herself to the rights of LGBTQIA+ individuals in Utrecht and beyond.

From 2023, the Annie Brouwer-Korf Award will be part of the Utrecht Queer Culture Festival.

How do you win the Annie Brouwer-Korf Award? Individuals, organizations, initiatives, or projects that are committed to promoting acceptance and visibility of the Utrecht LGBTQIA+ community can be nominated. A jury annually selects three nominees from all submissions and then also determines the winner.
