Bi+ Day - Utrecht Queer Culture Festival
The Bi+ Day is a day for bi+ people, or people who can be attracted to more than one gender (romantically and/or sexually).
On this day, you can meet other bi+ people in an accessible way. There is an opening with a panel in which experiences are exchanged, and there are two workshop rounds in which you can choose from 5 workshops each time. There are bi+ specific workshops such as labels and identity formation, newbi+, and bi+ and masculinity. There are also other types of workshops such as hoola hoop, a masterclass expression with makeup, and shibari. Between the rounds, participants can enjoy the lunch (included) and exchange experiences with other bi+ people. Finally, there is a closing with a performance by a bi+ drag artist.
Tickets are available from € 17.50.
The day is dedicated to bi+ people, people who can fall for more than one gender. Think bi, pan, queer, but many also do not label themselves. Partners of and bi+ minded people are also very welcome, knowing that this day is dedicated to bi+ people and experiences.
Accessibility – The location is wheelchair accessible, there is a lift and a wheelchair accessible toilet.
Furthermore, we provide a 'buddy room' where participants can unwind and/or have a chat with a volunteer if there is something.
We can arrange and pay for a Dutch Sign Language interpreter, as long as participants let Sara know by October 1 (email [email protected]).
If a participant cannot afford a ticket and/or is struggling with travel costs, we can reimburse this from the Bi+ Fund. This can be requested from Sara (email [email protected])
