De Mol en de Paradijsvogel

De mol en de paradijsvogel is a new Dutch musical in which two stories of identity and queer role models intertwine.

One story is of the flamboyant television and theater personality Albert Mol, who is the first famous Dutch person to openly being gay in the conservative Netherlands after the war. The other story is of a Syrian refugee who tries to win a place as a drag artist in the modern Amsterdam of 2023. But Amsterdam turns out not to be as inclusive as he thought…. Both men are looking for a place where they can be themselves.

Do they dive into the ground like a mol and hide who they are, or do they dare to show their colors exuberantly like a bird of paradise?
