Expo: Noorderlicht x Noorderpoort

Exhibition on AI and Gender Identity by Noorderpoort Art & Multimedia Students.

Noorderlicht, in collaboration with Noorderpoort, presents an exhibition created by students from the Art & Multimedia department. Over six weeks, they will work at Noorderlicht to explore the theme of AI and gender identity. While AI offers many opportunities, it often fails to reflect the diversity of our society. It is often noticeable that results in the field of gender are surprisingly stereotypical. By critically examining these results and the lack of representation in AI systems, the students aim to discover and depict new perspectives.

They will present their insights, creative process, and challenges in the form of a creative final product at Noorderlicht Studio.

Tentoonstelling AI en genderidentiteit door Studenten Noorderpoort Kunst & Multimedia.

Noorderlicht presenteert in samenwerking met Noorderpoort een tentoonstelling, gemaakt door studenten van de afdeling Kunst & Multimedia. Ze gaan gedurende zes weken bij Noorderlicht aan de slag om het thema AI en genderidentiteit te verkennen. AI biedt vele kansen maar laat niet altijd zien hoe divers onze samenleving is. Het valt vaak op dat resultaten op het gebied van gender verrassend stereotype zijn. Door kritisch te kijken naar deze resultaten en het gebrek aan representatie in AI-systemen, streven de studenten ernaar nieuwe perspectieven te ontdekken en te verbeelden.

Hun inzichten, creatieve proces en uitdagingen presenteren ze in de vorm van een creatief eindproduct in Noorderlicht Studio.
