Film: Documentaire Verstoten

On Sunday, April 21st, the documentary "Verstoten" (Disowned) can be seen in Almere. The documentary sheds light on the dire situation of homeless LGBTQ+ youth in the Netherlands, a topic that has received too little attention to date. Following the screening, there will be a discussion between the director Claire Slingerland and moderator Mojdeh Feili.

The documentary explores who these youths are, the impact it has on their lives, and where they ultimately end up. "Verstoten" tells the candid story of two youths who share how they ended up on the streets and what challenges they have faced. They share personal experiences about their life on the streets, the dangers they face, and their experiences with shelter facilities. Op zondag 21 april is de documentaire Verstoten te zien in Almere. De docu werpt licht werpt op de schrijnende situatie van dak- en thuisloze regenboogjongeren in Nederland, een onderwerp dat tot op heden te weinig aandacht heeft gekregen. Na de vertoning volgt een nagesprek tussen de regisseur Claire Slingerland en moderator Mojdeh Feili.

De documentaire onderzoekt wie deze jongeren zijn, welke impact dit op hun leven heeft en waar ze uiteindelijk terechtkomen. 'Verstoten' vertelt het openhartige verhaal van twee jongeren die delen hoe ze op straat zijn beland en welke uitdagingen ze hebben doorstaan.
