Gemma - Fabian Jansen

A search for gender identity.
A monologue by Fabian Claes Jansen with live music by LAVALU.
The Story
In the tough offshore life of Gert, there was actually only one woman. And that was Gemma! But Gemma wasn't visible yet. Only to Gert. Until she had to come out. To the outside, visible and real.
A loving quest with Gemma in the mirror leads Gert, after years, to a significant decision. Gemma will need a place, but how and in what form?
Actor & director Fabian Claes Jansen and composer & pianist LAVALU present GEMMA. Fabuch Social Cinema collaborates with DeLaMar and Stadsschouwburg De Harmonie in this project.
GEMMA is an urgently touching and enlightening story about the search for identity and self-acceptance.
*Fabian Claes Jansen identifies as non-binary, bigender. Their pronouns are he/him/his and they/theirs.
