It’s time for another HvA Pride get-togetherrrr 🍻 🍹

This time in a very special place: @cafetmandjeofficial. The café has been around since 1927, making it one of the oldest LGBTQIA-friendly places in the Netherlands. Owner Bet van Beeren was a legendary manageress. In a leather jacket she raced through the city on her motorcycle, sometimes with a new conquest on her back. ‘t Mandje was one of the first pubs where gay men and lesbian women did not have to hide their sexuality. It is in the Canon of Amsterdam as a symbol of tolerance throughout the ages.🏳️‍🌈

Het is weer tijd voor een HvA Pride-borrellll! 🍻 🍹

Dit keer in het bijzondere @cafetmandjeofficial. Het café bestaat al sinds 1927 en is daarmee één van de oudste LHBTI-vriendelijke plekken in Nederland. Eigenaar Bet van Beeren was een legendarische uitbaatster. In een leren jas scheurde ze op de motor door de stad, soms met een nieuwe verovering achterop. ‘t Mandje was één van de eerste cafés waar homosexuele mannen en lesbische vrouwen hun geaardheid niet hoefden te verbergen. Het staat in de Canon van Amsterdam als symbool van tolerantie door de eeuwen heen.🏳️‍🌈

Let op: het is een gezellig, maar klein café, dus vol=vol.
