In a two-day program in the Brutalist church building of de Thomaskerk, Het HEM & Horst Arts & Music Festival bring together a new generation of makers who think outside the boundaries of their discipline and experimentally connect electronic music to fashion, dance and visual arts. Central to the program are four new interdisciplinary live performances, each offering the audience an immersive art experience in their own way

Søren Siebel
Current Het HEM artist in resident Søren Siebel creates utopian and spatial performances that stem from his interest in collective and individual identities, queer-gender-non-conformative realities and futures, and (political) systems and structures. During his residency at Het HEM he develops the project The Body Of Everything. In this 60-minute performance Siebel creates an abstract and atmospheric speculative future for space, its context and its temporary inhabitants.
M I M I
Maria Muehombo, known as M I M I is an interdisciplinary artist & curator based in Brussels, born in Lusaka. As she describes her work as an ongoing conversation with nature, she recently started writing on topics such as anthropocentrism and biomimetics, as she strongly believes that our faiths are intertwined. Considering herself as ecocentric whilst looking towards forward-thinking movements.
Dooha Ritus by Omen Wapta & Joone Joonam
Dooha Ritus is an interdisciplinary project by Omen Wapta, the music label of DJ and graduated fashion designer Woody92, and Joone Joonam, the fashion label by designer Armia Yousefi. The hybrid project brings together fashion, music, performance art and choreography and springs from their mutual fascination for rituals and costumes from the Middle Ages.
SKY H1 & Mika Oki
In SKY H1's music, contemporary club sounds of drum and bass, grime, dubstep and techno come together with ambient sound design and pop-oriented songwriting. Mika Oki has a background in sculpture and electroacoustic music and makes audiovisual installations and performances. The two Brussels-based artists find each other in exploring immaterial spaces and emotional landscapes and have previously developed projects together.
Ja Ja Ja Nee Nee Nee
Ja Ja Ja Nee Nee Nee is a radio space for curatorial and artistic practices, hosting and producing radio shows and podcasts, by and with artists and designers. In 2022 they started an artist-in-residency programme, of which they will present two live performances by previous residents.
