Our Stories: A personal Transmasculine/Queer perspective on Lesbian comics

In light of the exhibition Graphic Sapphic focusing on lesbian comics and cartoons from the 70s – 90s of the previous century, a tour through the exhibit with guide Jiro Ghianni, transgender comics creator and seriously-fun activist.

Jiro complements the exhibition with a transmasculine/queer perspective. Explore how ties between trans people and the lesbian community were quite natural. Is that still true today? An interactive tour about stereotypes, transphobia, connection, and (re-)interpretations of history.

This event is organized within the context of the exhibition Graphic Sapphic, in collaboration with the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Maastricht University and the Dutch Research Council (NWO).
