Queer Sex Worker’s Day Red Light Arts & Culture, Queer Amsterdam, Peep Show Hoes
Sex workers and sex work activists will curate an extensive program of performances and talks starting from 13:00 at the Oude Kerk. From their own perspectives, they will share insights into their work and their relationship with the neighborhood. The Oude Kerk is situated in the heart of the Red Light District, where sex workers have been operating for centuries. In 1306, the Oude Kerk was even dedicated to the patron saint of prostitutes. Through this program, we reaffirm our historical connection with sex workers and provide them with a platform to share their perspectives and experiences with the public.
This program is curated and organized in collaboration with Red Light Arts & Culture and Queer Amsterdam.
