Always wanted to learn to surf? Which can! The Queer Surf Club offers lessons at different levels in a safe and responsible manner.
This lesson is intended for those who have never surfed before or have little experience.
About the Queer Surf Club
“The Queer Surf Club originated from an idea of Mack and Lisette. We want to add De Queer Surf Club within the Dutch surfing world. Within the Queer community we want to share our passion for the sea.
With De Queer Surf Club we want to create a safe place for everyone who has a connection with the sea, where everyone is welcome.We also want to connect Queers with each other, with the sea and surfing as a means.
You may now be wondering: what does it mean to be Queer? Good question! It is a broad concept that everyone can agree with. That is why we are there for everyone, as long as you feel comfortable with us. The QueerGym in Rotterdam has explained the term very nicely:
Being queer is not an aesthetic, a recognizable image, smell or taste.Not a hip fashion phenomenon.Not a specific color or shape.
Being queer is not your age, not a phase,You are not too old or too young,Sooner or later.
Not a party you go to or a way your body moves.Not a club with a password.
Being queer is not the same as being out. It doesn't have to be who you date or not. It has to do with what you are open to. It's about being sure or not about your gender or sexuality, not about demanding clarification.

With De Queer Surf Club we want to create a safe place for everyone.At De Queer Surf Club we focus on 2 elements.
1. Surfing lessonHave you always wanted to learn to surf? Which can! The Queer Surf Club offers lessons at different levels in a safe and responsible manner.
2. EditionsWe organize editions in May, June, September and October. During the editions, in addition to teaching, we organize an extra activity, for example a movie night, silent disco or dinner on the beach.
