Reading Group: Queer Pillow Talk

Reading My Panties: Queer Pillow Talk

Join us for an intimate and thought-provoking evening at Home 944 in Den Haag, Netherlands.

In response to the first issue’s unsolved questions, the second issue “Reading My Panties: Queer Pillow Talk” will kick off with a series of reading groups in 4 cities for generating more discussion towards femininity, intimacy and queerness. For this series of reading groups, it will be facilitated with 4 different co-hosts.

9th December 16:00 - Home 944 - Den Haag

Co-host: Ange Neveu

During this reading session facilitated by Ange Neveu (they/them), participants will join a journey through the theme of "Contagions, highs, and fevers." This exploration will delve into the contagious experiences of queerness, the exhilarating highs of gender expression, and the feverish desires that course through our beings. Through selected readings, we will navigate the terrain of emotions and encounters that may be excessive, unhealthy, addictive, uncontrollable, or self-indulgent, and examine how they traverse from one body to the next. The discussion may also touch on the intriguing notion of panties as a guardian of these bodily trepidations.

*The reading material will touch upon sensitive topics including drug use and abuse, alcoholism, transphobia, suicide and ideation, as well as rape and sexual violence.
