Ruis

"Ruis" is a theater performance and art exhibition about everything that goes on in your head as a young LGBTQ+ individual in a seemingly tolerant Netherlands.

We share the personal stories of eleven queer youth and their views on the world; about kissing, paper butterflies with good intentions, classrooms, the GSA, allies, Minecraft, the ballroom, nerve sweat, Friesland, and of course, NYX. About questions like: who am I attracted to, and which pronouns fit me? Why should I even know that? Noise (Ruis)!

There is doubt, searching, and – even though it clashes with the world – celebration.
