✒ T. Alabanza

🗓️ Saturday, July 20, 2023

🕥 from 11:00 – 13:00/14:00, doors open at 10:30

TBAB Book Club S04E07 focuses on the concept of gender with Travis Alabanza's NONE OF THE ABOVE: REFLECTIONS ON LIFE BEYOND THE BINARY. We have chosen this book for the theme Black & Queer. This book places the author's voice, a multidisciplinary artist/performer, at the center by following the seven sentences/statements. We explore Travis' survival as a Black, trans, gender-non-conforming person in the UK.

These titles are linked to our themes Afro-American, Liefde en (Black &) Queer. Our extra episode is part of the Icons In Literature weekend: James Baldwin.

🇳🇱 + 🇬🇧 The books are available in English abd some our available in Dutch and other languages. We can facilitate Dutch and English talks and will provide one of them or both, according to the attendees. Please register on time, so we can prepare accordingly.

📚 Icons In Literature takes place on Saturday, November 15th, and is followed by The Black Archives Bijlmer’s book club on Saturday and the Reading In Black’s book club on Sunday.
