Workshop: 3D-ID met Kathay Muriloo

The workshop focuses on freely creating a sculpture with your own hands that reflects your own identity using all kinds of materials, such as found objects, plastic, wood, and other "useless" items.

During the day, Kathy Murillo and several other like-minded spoken word artists will bring the space to life with their poetry.

This is a walk-in workshop; registration is not necessary.

3D-ID is a workshop designed by the artist Kathy Murillo [she/they]. In this workshop, you will explore your own identity through art. The workshop encourages diversity and acceptance. It is a creative way to see how different we all are and how we can live together and appreciate our differences. During the workshop, participants will create an object that shows their own identity. They will use recycled materials and mix them together. After finishing their object, participants can place it in the space as a statement of belonging.

Kathy Murillo [She/they] is a queer feminist, Venezuelan-Dutch artist. Murillo's art is about identity, belonging, and how society works – seen from a queer feminist and intersectional perspective. Kathy Murillo uses many different art forms and materials and always finds new ways for their artistic expression.
