YOU ARE LOVED

My artwork is focused on intimacy, exploring what two people in love do when they’re alone together. I try to avoid artificial poses and I prefer to show everyday love and affection — the little moments lovers share.

For me, sex, is a key part of intimacy, as is kissing, cooking together or sleeping in each other’s arms. The sexual aspects interest me for their relational and communicative powers. However, I portray male intimacy in a broader sense. It is not only about sensual love or homosexuality, but also scenarios of situations where men allow themselves to be open and vulnerable to intimate contact in sports, locker rooms and friendships.
